CVO Brokers is committed to conservation minded business practices. Whenever possible, we minimize our corporate consumption of goods and energy: we ride bikes to meetings, use recycled paper and soy based inks in nearly all of our print goods, turn down the thermostat, and archive digitally among other endeavors.
The business is run by my wife, Amy Luhn, and me, Abe Drabkin. I initially entered the industry in 2003 though my family's work, and my familiarity to the industry, dates back to 1984. In 2008 CVO Brokers sprouted from that experience to serve clients whom seek a sustainable and data based approach to real estate. Customer service is of the highest priority while infusing the transaction process with data and conservation minded information. I grew up in Oregon (Sheridan, McMinnville, Corvallis, Salem and Portland), Costa Rica and California. I graduated from Brown University in the early 1990's and moved to Latin America, Colorado, New York, Texas and Colorado until 2003 when I returned to Corvallis, Oregon.
My philosophy of work includes the belief that we nurture community connections and capitalize on our interests in other aspects of real estate and issues around sustainability. To that end I volunteer with the Willamette Valley Neighborhood Housing Association, specifically in the area of raising Hispanic home ownership rates in the Willamette Valley. Also, I am active in the Sustainable Building Network. I anticipate joining the Corvallis Sustainability Coalition Housing Taskforce in January 2008 when it officially forms. In addition, I attend annual conferences such as West Coast Green and GreenBuild in order to stay current in the field of sustainable building practices which I feel better serves my clients who may have an eye toward greater energy efficiency and a greater return on their investment.
My business operates through the efforts of my wife, Amy Luhn, and me. Amy has lived in Corvallis for the past 15 years and, having retired in 2005 from 10 years of work at Old Mill Center for Children and Families, now spends her time working with CVO Brokers and raising our three children.
